Cetacean Research Technology's Portable Underwater Recording Systems include a
hydrophone and a digital recorder.. The
versatile, portable SQ26-H1 is the most compact
underwater recording system that exists; the C55-DR680 can produce CD-quality recordings; and the C55-F2 features a sample rate of 192kHz at 24-bit resolution!
Model SQ26-H1
The portable SQ26-H1 underwater recording system consists of the Sensor Technology
SQ26-08 hydrophone and the new Zoom H1 solid state digital recorder. The
system also includes a 8GB microSD flash memory card, a 12V USB power
adapter to power the Zoom H1 from your boat's battery, and a waterproof
Pelican case with custom anti-static foam to protect the system. One of the
cool things about this underwater recording system is that the hydrophone is
powered by the Zoom H1's plug-in power microphone jack. It will record
sounds up to 40kHz, which is twice as high as humans with perfect hearing
can detect. The SQ26-H1 is the most compact underwater recording system that
exists. Files recorded by the Zoom H1 can easily be transferred to your
computer via USB for analysis with SpectraPRO or SpectraLAB software, sold separately.
