The Fostex FR-2 24bit/192kHz compact flash recorder is designed specifically for location sound recording and high quality sound effects acquisition; offers users of portable DAT and other formats the opportunity to make the switch to a more flexible, higher quality audio acquisition machine without sacrificing features.

The FR-2 uses AA-sized rechargeable NiMH batteries (8 provide approx. 2.5 hours of operating when recording to a CF card). Professional features incl. user-adjustable 'pre-record' buffer, recording-industry standard PC-compatible BWF files (stereo/mono) on a FAT32 media format. The design is robust, construction is tough, and the controls are easy.

The FR-2 compact flash recorder allows easy transfer to PC/Mac for editing and/or backup; choice of media (type II CompactFlash cards and/or new breed of PCMCIA 1.8-inch hard disk drives)
